Prayer from the desk of Arnold Palmer

Almighty God,

Director of the course of Life,

please coach me in sharpening up my game of daily living.

Help me to keep my drives down the fairways of Your law

and may my actions toward my fellowmen never be out of bounds.

But if I dub a shot, show me how to bounce back with inspiration.

May my score card show:

A par for my faith,

A birdie for my hope,

An eagle for my charity,

And please . . . no bogeys of irresponsibility.

And God, in my approach to the final green of life,

may my shot be pin high,

and my putt be

down in one.
