Although we have much to learn from secular institutions, we should not simply envy or mimic them. We need to strike out on our own and produce samples of Catholic philosophy, jurisprudence, poetry, theater, literature, music, and visual arts. Because of the inroads of secularism, these religiously inspired cultural achievements are almost totally lacking in today’s world, but there is no reason why they cannot be revived.
